We love sleek lines, glass sinks, minimalistic styling and the contemporary feel of modern living - yet when we go away, there is something special about a warm, comfortable and clean Retro B&B.

So that is what you are offered for your stay in Newquay - a warm, comfortable, clean and homely B&B, whether you are on business or with your loved ones on holiday.

On our very first viewing of St Elmo B&B we immediately felt at home. We could see ourselves getting up on a lovely summers' morning and taking a relaxing walk along the beach before breakfast with the family. At the rear, being able to look over the field to the miles of coastline and the sea's rolling waves - unwinding and forgetting all the stresses and strains of daily life.

The vanity units in the bedrooms and the louvered doors of the built-in wardrobes brought back memories of the way a Bed and Breakfast used to be.

So with that in mind we have continued the homely theme with Ercol and cane furniture in the lounge/dining room.

You can even hire a video machine and a large selection of "old school" movies. Some great titles where the actors have really big hair and wide, wide shoulder pads. You could watch "Arnie" when he fought the bad guys and not Global Warming, Bruce Willis when he had more hair (not much more), or hear soundtracks that today are either turned into annoying ring tones or sampled for today's top R&B stars.
