Drift Ltd
Drift Ltd is a Private Limited Company formed in 2005 by its Directors - Patrick & Vanessa Jeffree.
Its roots stem from a keen interest in ethical, mutually beneficial property development. When leaving their 9 - 5 jobs, both Patrick & Vanessa wanted to focus on and follow their dreams, moving forward in life by creating quality lifestyle choices for people.
Their first project was to develop 2 run-down cottages in South Wales, which most people were just not interested in. Through hard work, tenacity and a positive attitude they succeeed in working with a handful of very skilled tradesmen to create a stunning 4 bed-roomed house, at a fair price for prospective purchasers.
This project clarified to both Directors that it is possible to go for your dreams and goals in life without it being at the detriment to others.
"A rising tide raises all ships" as the saying goes.
As a point of interest, Channel 4's television programme "Property Ladder" were invited to film this first venture. The ups and downs of this is still being regulary repeated on satellite television.
Despite numerous offers of filming an update to the show, both Patrick and Vanessa declined. Vanessa says "It was a wonderful experience to have a permanant record of our first venture - or adventure - but once was enough. The production crew were great and Sarah Beeny was really nice but it is impossible to get a true and accurate reflection of the intricacies of a project this size in less than a hour of TV"
From this the Directors, again through a mixture of strong goal setting and positive mental attitude, utilised the (small) profit made to set the wheels in motion to expand into the Buy-to-Let market. This was undertaken at a time when everyone stated that the housing market was static and that "This is the wrong time to be getting into it!".
The philosophy of both Patrick and Vanessa is that the reason WHY is always far more important than the HOW.
Patrick strongly believes "Everyone is in a position in life that they want". A strong statement some may say, but Patrick continues: "A person is in the situation they are at present due to two things: the decisions they have made and their reaction to circumstances beyond their control."
From this and despising a 'blame' culture and mentality, he believes that no matter where you start from, the finishing point is in the hands of the individual.
Vanessa also feels that you can do and achieve anything you want in life - if you are prepared to believe in it; write down your structured and dated goals; and then put the work in to acheive them.
Drift Ltd has therefore been formed and will continue to succeed, with a positive focus, in all aspects of its business.
