Under 18's

16 - 18 Year Olds

We are happy to consider groups of young adults aged between 16 and 18 years old.

We try not to restrict the groups' autonomy to enjoy their holiday and therefore, we do not act as guardians. If the parents are happy to allow their children to go on holiday a couple of hundred miles away from home, we believe that they have successfully raised them to act in a mature, sensible and adult fashion.

The main rules we have at AbreakAway are kept to a minimum, but the ones we have are strictly adhered to. We find that we don't get any problems as the group tend to "self police".

To book for a group of under 18's, a parent must act as Organiser for the holiday. (Don't worry, they won't have to come on holiday with you.) This parent will act as Guarantor for the group and therefore, will be financially and legally liable in the rare case that damages or losses occur. We welcome speaking with the parents of the group prior to booking.

So what are our basic rules?

If it's broken - it's paid for.
Anything that compromises our guests' safety or security will not be tolerated, ie any tampering with the Fire Alarms or Equipment, the CCTV system or allowing non-residents to know the code for the door entry system.
To be considerate of all guests and neighbours.
Any illegal activity - zero tolerance.
No parties on the premises.
Non-paying guests are not allowed on the premises.

We believe these rules are fair. If any guests or parents think otherwise, we are always open to discussion PRIOR to accepting your booking.

Under 16's

If anyone in the group wishing to book is under 16 years old, that person must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher.
